The product team in Supermicro is seeking an experienced Sr. System Design Engineer to join and be part of the core development team. This individual will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams on new platform or new architecture development for continuous improvement on overall company product design quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):Propose and present for new platform or next generation server system with design and manufacture feasibility.Coordinate internal resources and work with related design groups to achieve design targets.Review and manage to improve all product quality from design to manufacture, including sample validation and failure analysis.Clarify and solve all misunderstandings, problems, and arguments on both design and manufacture issues.Research and provide input for new design technology, proof of new concepts, or continuously improve current designs.Work with related engineering teams (H/W, S/W, ME, Thermal, PWS, etc.) either ODM or in-house.Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or computer design related discipline preferred.• 8+ years of experience in computer/server related industry, 5+ years of experience in server system design (system level (L6~L10) design experience) preferred.• Experience of managing a team in the past will be a plus.• Familiar with all sub-components design and validation, including PCBA H/W, F/W, BIOS, mechanical, thermal and power.• Familiar with applicable manufacturing processes and costs, including PCB material, PCBA assembly, chassis hard tooling, injection molding and fabrication.• Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively and frequently (oral and written).• Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.• Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures.Salary Range:

$166,000 - $184,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.EEO Statement:
