Position Summary :
The Human Resource Associate at Uwajimaya supports various functions within the Human Resources Department, including recruiting and hiring, wage and salary administration, benefits and leave administration, and HRIS/reporting/payroll administration. This entry-level role assists with routine tasks while learning to apply educational knowledge to practical experience, with success measured by progress. The position requires effective collaboration across departments, adherence to legal compliance, and providing employee assistance. The HR Associate must demonstrate organizational skills, effective communication, and technical judgment.
Position's Key Responsibilities :
Address specific department(s) data needs while offering cross-departmental support.
Ensure precision in updating product costs, vendors, order codes, UPC & PLU codes, and related details.
Assign state & local taxes and validate food stamp eligibility.
Assign PLUs and operate within the random weight scale system.
Generate daily POS batches for streamlined store systems.
Grasp the information flow in both corporate & retail information software systems.
Assist the Merchandising Team in organizing product information and liaise with vendors for data changes.
Develop processes with vendors for regular electronic updates.
Conduct audits to ensure the database accurately reflects recent invoice costs.
Act as a liaison between retail stores and corporate support, addressing specific needs.
Provide support to free up time for other Merchandising Team members.
Interact professionally with customers, respecting and prioritizing their needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Starting at $22.29/hr., Depending on Experience.
Qualifications
Position Requirements :
Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of retail experience required.
Preferred knowledge of BRdata software and random weight scale system management.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Proficient keyboard typing speed and accuracy.
Preferred proficiency in an Asian language and knowledge of foods.
Accuracy in English language grammar & spelling.
Excellent customer service skills.
Flexible schedule.
