As a member of the HR Team, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for the processing, controlling, balancing, and reporting of the weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls. They are responsible for all aspects of payroll processing from timecard processing through the GL accounting process. Responsibility will include weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll processing in a multi-state environment, processing of supplemental pay such as bonuses, and garnishment research and resolving federal, state, and local tax notices.Department:

(May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).Processes, controls, balances, and reports on the weekly and/or semi-monthly payroll in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.Processes, controls, and reports on the assigned payroll deductions for union dues, tax levies, court-ordered wage deductions, and employee house orders.Balances and prepares funding requests for payroll bank accounts and tax filing service for weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls. Prepares manual checks. Ensures all payroll process schedules are maintained. Keeps current on federal, state, and local tax regulations and wage deduction laws.Audits and balances payroll prior to posting.Maintains SOX compliance.Prepares, processes, controls, and develops reports for union dues, tax levies, court-ordered wage deductions, employee house orders, and accounting.Prepares and executes various export and import files for UltiPro and Kronos systems.Provides information and assistance to other business areas and employees.Provides support to the Finance team with projects and special assignments as assigned.Supports the Payroll Manager.Education & Experience:Associate degree or equivalent experience.5-10 years of experience, preferably in Payroll, Accounts Payable, and/or Accounting.Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Basic knowledge of compensation, benefits, and tax regulations concerning payroll.Attention to detail.Licenses & Certifications:
