Responsibilities:

Lead General Accounting functions such as general ledger, AP and ARLead month end closing including preparing and posting of journal entries and reconcile monthly ledger accounts and help establish accounting policies and proceduresManage a team of 2 in AP and ARReview and prepare journal entries and reconciliations and prepare financial statement packages on a monthly basisAssist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and financial reporting packagesAssist in external audits to maintain complianceEnsure proper internal controls are maintained and provide process improvementsAssist controller in monthly/quarterly/annually forecasting/budgeting as neededParticipate in the company's continuous improvement projects to assist in identifying opportunities and implement cost-saving objectivesPerform requirements for any special projects on an ad-hoc basisQualifications

Basic Qualifications:

BA or BS in Business Administration major emphasis in Accounting or Finance.3-5 years of related experience in standard cost environment as an Accountant or Cost Accountant. Knowledge of US GAAP.Management experience in an inventory related environmentPreferred Qualifications:

3-5 years of directly related work experience - standard cost system, manufacturing, aerospace. Large ERP system experience highly desirable.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, including ExcelSkills:

Experienced in Manufacturing, Distribution or Wholesale environmentStrong knowledge and understanding of GAAP, with solid analytical and strategic planning skills.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, self-motivated and team-oriented skills.Must be proficient with computer systems and programs (MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint etc.) good spreadsheet skills.
