Join PSG, a growing global company where your curiosity, hard work and ambition is rewarded with exceptional career opportunities in a friendly & fast paced environment.Position Summary:Reporting to the Site General Manager and dotted line to the VP - HR, our Grand Rapids site is an approximate $122 million (USD) site producing various pump technologies. The HR Director is a key member of the site leadership team and will be accountable for facilitating and executing the HR Strategy, managing the union relationship, talent management, company HR policies and programs, and employee relations in support of the overall business objectives of the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the site HR functional leader and provide strategic business support aligning with HR best practices and company objectives.Lead the site’s Human Resources function, ensuring accurate interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs.Build a strong and respectful working relationship with the union committee and members.Negotiate with unions in collective bargaining negotiations.Handle and investigate grievances.Drive performance-based culture.Build and foster effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, managers, and the HR Team.Assist in business development strategy and formulate local HR strategy in conjunction with VP-HR.Provide coaching and change management support to guide managers and employees.Implement and annually update compensation program, monitor performance review program, and maintain budget.Maintain collaborative partnerships with Global HR Team for effectiveness.Monitor key trends and propose solutions.Deliver high quality day-to-day HR administrative duties including: new hire orientations, benefits administration, onboarding, off-boarding, communications, and wellness events. Administer compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations for employment law.Qualifications / Requirements:Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources or similar discipline with a minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience.Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is preferred.Understanding of Federal labor law and compliance.Strong business acumen and ability to develop relationships at all levels.Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.Preferred experience with SAP Success Factors and ADP systems.Work Arrangement: OnsiteSalary Range: To be determined based on job-related factors.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, age, genetic information, or any other factors prohibited by law.
