Position Overview:
The Budget Analyst will provide financial expertise and budgetary oversight, supporting the U.S. Air Force in managing and optimizing its financial resources. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Air Force budget and accounting systems, along with a strong understanding of federal financial regulations, cost management, and strategic resource allocation. This role requires the ability to analyze, develop, and manage budgets in alignment with Air Force priorities and fiscal guidelines.
Secret clearance required. Responsibilities: Develop, analyze, and maintain Air Force budgets, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) financial regulations. Utilize Air Force budget and accounting systems to prepare and submit budgetary reports, including forecasts, obligation plans, and funding requests. Monitor and track the execution of approved budgets, identifying variances, recommending corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to fiscal policies. Support the preparation of budget justifications and documentation for senior leadership, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate program costs and provide financial analysis for project planning and execution. Assist in the development of financial plans, including resource allocation, prioritization, and program adjustments based on budget constraints. Maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial status reports, and provide analysis of expenditures, obligations, and forecasts. Conduct budget audits and reviews to ensure proper allocation and expenditure of funds in compliance with Air Force guidelines. Provide expertise in Air Force financial systems to support decision-making and ensure accurate financial reporting. Salary:
$80,000 - $100,000 a year
