ManagementJOB SUMMARYMarriott is seeking a Director – Architect Technology Workplace Products to provide architectural leadership across our Global Technology Workplace Tower, including Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and the M365 estate. This role reports to the Vice President of Technology Workplace Products and is part of the leadership team of the Technology Workplace Products tower and plays a key role in shaping the company’s overall technology workplace strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and driving the overall technology architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation across these domains. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and flexible solutions that enhance our technology workplace ecosystem.CANDIDATE PROFILERequired:Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/certification8+ years’ experience progressive infrastructure engineering and/or architecture experience including:6+ years of relevant experience with solution architecture, from concept to implementation and approval5+ years of experience designing solutions for large-scale enterprise systems5+ years of relevant experience with large-scale business integrations3+ years of experience building and deploying applications globally in a cloud environmentProven experience in enterprise systems that support 99.99% service availability in SAFE Agile environmentExperience with geographically diverse HR, Legal, and Privacy practices and standardsExperience architecting applications that support multi-cloud providers and globally distributed user basesExperience leading collaborative architecture work across multiple disciplinesStrong understanding of Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and M365 technologiesChange management skills are crucial for driving adoption of new architectures and technologiesProficiency in Design Thinking methodologiesTechnical knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android)Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in user-friendly languageStrong negotiating, influencing, and problem-resolution skillsThe successful candidate will be expected to balance innovation with compliance and security needsTravel may be required to support global initiatives and detailed design across technology workplace productsDevelop and maintain the overall architectural vision for the Technology Workplace Tower, including Digital Experience, Unified Endpoint Management, and M365 technologiesDefine solutions and patterns that address integration and standardization across multiple technology domainsFacilitate capacity planning, lifecycle management, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other architecture tasksDevelop standard prototypes and architecture artifacts to support the platformPartner and consult with other projects, businesses, and stakeholders to enable consistent solution design and implementations aligned to the architectureEngage in appropriate IT Governance activities to ensure consistency, compliance, and integrationProvide leadership, oversight, governance, and strategic direction related to technology workplace productsOversee the documentation of all architecture design and analysis workRepresent the Technology Workplace Tower in project design and execution plans, aligning them with Infrastructure Delivery Projects and RoadmapResearch, design, and guide implementation of high-performing software components that are standards-based, highly available, and secureLead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the overall infrastructure architectureSupport Solution and Domain Architecture by providing architecture direction in terms of technology, software, and infrastructure for projects in the delivery lifecycleEvaluate and select infrastructure-based productsDevelop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work across the technology workplace domainPerformance will be measured on factors such as successful architecture implementation, system performance, and alignment with business objectivesProvides input to the Marriott infrastructure architecture and governance modelResearches, designs, and implements high-performing technology solutions that are standards-based, highly available and secured, delivering the required business functionalityInstitutes governance based on best practices and ensure proper alignment to projects and major initiativesLeads analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvementManaging Projects and PrioritiesFunctions as a strategic senior technical expert within the department.Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep moving forward toward achievement of goals.Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to promote completion of any projects on schedule.Reviews vendor proposals and selects appropriate vendor for services/technologies/hardware.Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new project plans.Building RelationshipsDevelops and sustains relationships based on an understanding of customer/stakeholder needs and actions consistent with the company’s service standardsSupports employees and business partners with diverse styles, duties as required for this position.The salary range for this position is $113,850 to $216,315 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays.
