Financial Systems enables effective financial decisions through reliable data, increased efficiency and automation. We support Accounting, Tax, Finance & Strategy (F&S), Finance Operations (FinOps) and Treasury functions across Automation, Data insights and process improvements.What you’ll do

We are seeking a talented and innovative leader to join our Internal Finance Systems team. As the Head of Business Technology, you will play a critical role in identifying gaps in our current processes and implementing best practices in identity management, controls, and systems integration from your previous experience in large organizations. Your primary focus will be to elevate Stripe’s finance systems, ensuring they are lean, efficient, and well-controlled while fostering an uncluttered and non-bureaucratic environment.Responsibilities

Manage Third-Party Applications: Oversee all third-party applications related to Finance and define a long-term roadmap to enhance functionality and integration.

Innovate for Customer Success: Constantly seek out and implement new technologies that drive business forward and enhance customer experiences.

Collaborate with Vendors and Partners: Work closely with vendors and internal partners at Stripe to deliver high-quality products that meet business needs.

Financial Implications Thought Leadership: Act as a thought partner with the engineering team, providing insights into the financial implications of business initiatives.

Ensure Control Environment: Ensure that appropriate controls and documentation are in place to facilitate an effective control environment.

Build a Global Team: Develop and manage a global team to oversee and improve Finance applications.

Deep Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge of finance systems, with a strong product sense to build internal systems similar to user-facing products.

Hands-On Leadership: Demonstrated ability to contribute design suggestions and lead by example in system development.

Excellent Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities paired with impeccable business judgment; adept at communicating effectively with management, vendors, and global teams.

ERP/EPM Experience: Proven experience with any ERP/EPM systems, ideally Oracle or Anaplan.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and lead complex operational initiatives.

Adaptability in Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver impactful solutions in a rapidly changing business landscape.

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $232,000 - $348,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
