We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team in our office in downtown Santa Cruz. This position requires at least some prior experience in civil litigation practice.
Responsibilities
Manage general civil case load under supervision of partner attorneys.Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.Represent clients in court or before government agencies.Assist with case management and preparation.Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other attorneys.Stay current on legal developments in relevant practice areas.Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the state bar association.PREFERENCE: Experience in civil litigation, real property law, personal injury law, and business litigation preferred.PREFERENCE: At least one full year of full-time experience in a civil litigation practice.Proficiency in Westlaw or other legal research tools.We are a nine attorney law firm in downtown Santa Cruz with an excellent support staff.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, TemporaryPay: $89,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits
