Write original copy and edit content for a wide range of projects, such as print, video, emails, websites, articles, digital media, signage, and moreTranslate complex brand and product challenges into compelling, clear brand stories that are understandable, interesting, and align with unique target audience perspectivesWrite with efficiency as you tackle everything from brand concepts to technical writing needsBring consistency, accuracy, and creative elegance to every project big or smallEmbrace feedback to address comments and sharpen the work at every opportunityWork on multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding, deadline-driven environmentEnforce and follow established client brand and style guide to ensure the content aligns with brand positioning, voice, and toneTake personal accountability for on-time deliverablesQualifications

Minimum of three years of experience in copywriting, journalism, content marketing, or a related fieldBased in Chicago and eager to tackle complexities and learn new industriesBachelor’s degree in communications, creative writing or journalism (or similar discipline) from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experienceDemonstrate a strong command of the structure of language, both formal and informalPossess a wide breadth of writing abilities from conceptual to long-form to headlines to calls to actionExperience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, G Suite, and similar software applicationsExcellent spelling and grammar skills with minimal amends from proofreadingAbility to ask the right questions to get the information you need to effectively write compelling copyAbility to take/provide constructive and positive feedbackSolid communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detailCollaborative mindset and the ability to work across a number of different teamsStrong grasp of marketing and advertising trendsA strong portfolio with a variety of samples (long and short form)We believe in
