Showing 1 locationWe are currently seeking a Director of Leisure Sales to join our team to develop and manage Travel Agent and Tour Operator business in the leisure market, in collaboration with the Director of Global Sales – Leisure. This position will be based on the West Coast, preferably in Southern California.Scope of Position:To manage West Coast Leisure Sales by soliciting new FIT/Wholesale accounts, tour group accounts and leisure travel agencies to meet/exceed revenue goals.Elevate current key account relationships and maximize opportunities with an innovative approach to sales development.Collaborate with the Director of Global Sales – Leisure and other departments to design unique experiences for the leisure market that give the resort a competitive edge.Establish Leisure Travel Marketing and Action Plans for a defined geographic marketEducate the trade community through the organization of memorable and targeted online training, FAM trips and Site Inspections to the hotel.Positively contribute in business review meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required.Represent the resort at trade shows, community events and industry meetings.Produce accurate and timely reports of appointments and sales calls.Respond to and manage larger and more complex incoming opportunities for the property, such as long stay, VIP, Villa, Casita and Suite bookings.Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.Gain strong level of knowledge of competitive sets products and offerings.Understand the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and know how to sell against them.Provide excellent customer service in order to grow share of the account.Qualified Candidates will possess the following:Ambitious and tenacious, the successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in a similar role.Implicit to their success is their ability to develop and maintain strong relationships externally and internally and identify sales opportunities and convert these into successful business to the hotel.An incredible reputation in the market with an enviable network of contacts in the luxury leisure market.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentA minimum of 5 years’ hotel sales experience in a sales management role in a similar luxury lifestyle setting.A creative and compelling communicator.This role will require an exceptional level of attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Competent in the management of Hotelligence, STR reports, Microsoft Excel and company intelligence tools.The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and business development within the Luxury Hospitality sector as well as international experience.Viceroy Hotels & Resorts inspires travelers with one-of-a-kind authentic lifestyle experiences that bring together provocative design and intuitive service in sought-after locations.
