Our staff is anchored by a multicultural primary care team that serves alongside roughly 300 volunteer interpreters, doctors, nurses, and other licensed medical specialists each year to provide comprehensive health care to Nashville’s most vulnerable.

What You'll Do
The Director of Donor Relations contributes to Siloam Health’s mission by serving as a lead staff for the cultivation of present and prospective major donors. He/she enjoys setting and meeting ambitious goals by deepening and widening vital donor relationships and speaking on behalf of and sharing the mission of Siloam Health in public settings. Additionally, this person will be responsible for working collaboratively across the development department and the organization to achieve high levels of fundraising and donor cultivation success.
Key components to this role are strategic relationship-building and leading Siloam’s major gift cultivation process while also motivating and training staff/board/volunteers. The Director of Donor Relations is a member of the development team and works closely with the Board Chair, Chief Development Officer, and CEO.
Manage and grow a major gifts program with the goal of raising $2MM+ annually
Create and implement donor-centric cultivation plans
Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and equip/assist the board and staff for success with their own solicitations (e.g., provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and assistance with donor communications)
Manage a portfolio of 100+ individual donors
Manage the systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including, but not limited to, Siloam’s donor database
Working with the Chief Development Officer to oversee the growth of Siloam’s planned giving program including prospecting and solicitation efforts.
Manage the systems and software necessary to track progress according to specific metrics
Create pre- and post-event strategies for major donors
Acknowledge and thank major donors through public and private recognition
Who We Are Looking For
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Successful track record working with boards, volunteers and donors to secure gifts of $5,000+
Qualifications
Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
Comfortable working with and on behalf of persons from different cultures and faith backgrounds
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Energized by building and maintaining relationships
Experienced/comfortable working with databases and MS Office suite
Proven ability to work effectively with a team
Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
Schedule flexibility with the ability to work occasional nights and weekends
