FOX Sports Media Group (FSMG) has a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for the fixed assets accounting process, reconciliation of large bank accounts and assisting with reporting. The Financial Analyst will handle a large volume of tasks regarding these areas within tight timelines. The candidate must work closely with business units to complete assigned tasks.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains fixed asset module to record additions, disposals, and depreciationMaintains lease module to record expenses monthlyMaintains Expense AuthorizationsHelps maintain reports in OfficeConnect/AdaptiveReconciles the fixed asset module to the general ledger monthlyReconciles main depository and disbursement bank accounts monthlyWorks with various departments to identify reconciling items and clear them on a timely basisBooks necessary bank transactions to clear reconciling itemsAssists with providing support for internal audit and external audit requests and schedulesActs as backup for other staff in the accounting department, as neededCompletes ad-hoc projects on an as-needed basisWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor's degree with emphasis in AccountingRelevant general accounting experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of managementSelf-starter, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), particularly ExcelAbility to perform job functions with accuracy and attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritizeAble to work independently and in teamsTech savvyNICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERKnowledge of Workday ERP systemKnowledge of Adaptive/OfficeConnectCPA or CPA candidateSports/Entertainment industry experience#LI-DNIWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
