Job SummaryThe Development and Communications Director will develop, implement, evaluate, and manage the fundraising and communication plans/schedules in accordance with Begin Anew's core values, mission, and vision.ResponsibilitiesWrite, track, submit, and manage grant proposals and outcome reports for all foundation, church, and corporate fundraising/grants.Research foundation/grant opportunities for application consideration.Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and communications plan.Support and partner with the Executive Director on all major fundraising initiatives.Secure financial support and maintain relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations.Execute strategies for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors to include but not limited to peer-to-peer fundraising, monthly giving, and mid-year/year-end campaigns.Work with volunteers, overseeing the organization and implementation of special fundraising events.Collaborate with the Executive Director, Program Director, Program Managers, and bookkeeper to obtain data, stories, and financial information needed for grants, annual reports, website, newsletters, etc.Work closely with the Executive Director to develop, maintain, and grow church partnerships.Develop and oversee strategies for 3rd party campaigns including but not limited to The Big Payback.Manage CRM database to track donor giving and run reports as needed to determine current status toward achieving annual metrics.Oversee regular updates to maintain compliance with Guidestar, Great NonProfits, and other desired seals of transparency or approval.Keep organizational website current and updated as well as related websites (Giving Matters, Guidestar, etc.).Author and distribute event and organizational newsletters via Mailchimp or similar platform.Design materials for social media, newsletters, and other applications.Maintain a current organizational brochure for marketing purposes.Communicate regularly with all Begin Anew staff.Passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, a willingness to sign Begin Anew's Statement of Faith.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications● Bachelor's Degree● 3-5 years relevant work experience● Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships● Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships● A strong passion for Christian ministry● Willingness to work with different cultures and faith beliefs● Strong organizational & time management skills with exceptional attention to detail● Pleasant and calm demeanor in working with students, staff members, volunteers, and others● An ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at a time, with limited supervision● Experience coordinating and leading a team of volunteers● Experience with Squarespace, Adobe Spark, Mailchimp, Donor Perfect, and/or Salesforce or other similar systems preferred.If you are a dynamic individual with a passion for fundraising and driving impact through philanthropy, we invite you to apply for the Development Director position.Job Type:
