With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.EDP OverviewThe SPX Engineering Development Program (EDP) is created around the principle of hiring the best and most talented people, and then providing the necessary means for them to constantly learn, be challenged, mentored, and successful. The EDP program has 2 available paths: a product design path with product design and development assignments and an operations path with assignments on manufacturing and supply chain. The EDP program is the premier entry point in SPX for either product design engineers or manufacturing engineers who have recently earned a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines.The incumbent for this role would be following the Product Design Path and would have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the area of Civil/Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.During the course of the two-year development program, the engineer will be given four distinct developmental assignments and should take part in advanced professional training and/or related certification(s) that will be made available by SPX. The EDP program begins in June or January of each year and positions are available in numerous locations throughout SPX.The EDP rotations provide significant exposure to the business unit's senior management team and engineering leaders, in addition to company executives and corporate leaders. Rotations are designed around a business unit's specific needs along with objectives unique to each engineer. These engineering assignment rotations, which are typically 6 months in duration, will provide a "big picture" view of the SPX business at the same time offering hands-on, real experiences that aim to sharpen your engineering skills in multiple technical areas.Rotations may include:
