Role: Business Analyst w/Operations and MOCLocation: Houston, TXDuration: 12+ Months
Note: Oil and Gas Industry exp Required.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES•Lead activities related to the requirements, design, development, and deployment of MOC process and information management system.•Help identify and manage gaps, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks in the Management of Change (MOC) business processes.•nalyze existing processes, workflows, systems, and applications. Create as-is and to-be internal business processes and capture current business processes for future improvement and streamlining and as part of feature development.•Collaborate with business to develop process mapping, conduct process engineering, capture opportunities for improvements/efficiencies, enhancements, optimization, automation, and/or innovative solutions.•Participate in solutions design/development. Provide and share researched business needs and/or issues with examples, data, and artifacts.•ssist in project documentation creation such as workflows, process maps, reports, turnover documentation, and procedures.•Provide critical reporting and analysis of business process performance and make recommendations for cost savings initiatives and improvements.•Develop, maintain, and improve business process analysis for operational support programs and related information management systems. Support programs include but are not limited to MOC, Operations Assurance and Risk Assessment•Interact with business stakeholders to understand the requirements and document.•Prepare and deploy communication plans related to MOC business processes and systems.•Evaluate vendor partners/solutions and assist in coordination of implementation efforts.•Monitors, identifies, and analyzes problems for systems within Operations responsibilities.•Clearly and concisely report results to diverse audiences, including executive management.•Facilitate process improvement workshops.•ll listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.
SKILLS/Competencies•Strong process mapping skills•Demonstrated ability to identify and address complex issues that arise during analysis and improvement of process.•Proficiency in understanding business processes and being able to translate them to requirements.•Experience bringing people together with different views to create new or improved process based on shared vision.•Self-starter with the ability to take a project and think through the possibilities and details to create a strategy for analysis and resolution with little direction.•High attention to detail with ability to problem solve quickly while adhering to tight deadlines required.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills in general business and technical capacities•Excellent time management and organizational skills
