Lead Operations Launch Activities
Ensure successful launches by tracking launch readiness to customer deliverables, launch metrics versus business case, and set up regular cadence of reviews
Ensure PDP process is followed for all launches, including MSD, OSD, and Zero Defect Launch
Manage the Lead Operations Engineering Group (LOE) and Change Management Process
Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports, and increase overall knowledge of lean
Ensure all program deliverables are met, and escalate issues in a timely manner for resolution.
Coordinate plant resources to meet all launch metrics (skilled trades, floor space, operators, CMM, kaizen team, engineers, etc.)
Lead lean workshops and the continuous improvement process (Kaizen)
Maintain overall equipment capacities for the plant
Resolve issues between the plant and outside functional groups in a timely manner.
Position Requirements
Required:
Associates Degree
Strong manufacturing background
Launch and LOE Management Experience
Management experience of multiple discipline teams
Knowledge of application of lean principles, quality improvement processes, manufacturing process, and production management systems
Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts and practical application of technology
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and drive improvements
Proficient in written and oral communication skills
Leadership skills to conduct workshops and drive continuous improvement
Excellent problem solving skills
AutoCAD experience
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree
Previous launch experience (Tier 1 Automotive)
5-7 years' experience in a Manager's Role
Operations/Engineering Manager's experience in supervising hourly and salary personnel
Education RequirementAssociates; Bachelors preferred
