We are seeking top talent to join the Procurement department!Our

Director of Procurement

is responsible for overseeing the procurement strategy and operations within an organization. This role focuses on ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of procurement professionals to achieve organizational goals.Our Director of Procurement is responsible for leading the procurement function, including developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives. This role involves managing the entire procurement process, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management and supplier performance evaluation. The Director of Procurement ensures that procurement activities contribute to the company’s cost-saving goals while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

You Will...Procurement Strategy Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that support the organization’s short-term and long-term goals.Identify and leverage opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and procurement efficiencies.Align procurement strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring that procurement supports the company’s growth and profitability.

Supplier Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements.Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.Implement supplier performance management programs, including regular evaluations, audits, and improvement initiatives.

Contract Management:

Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and management of all procurement contracts to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.Monitor and enforce contract terms, resolving any disputes or issues that arise.Ensure that all contracts are regularly reviewed and updated in line with company policies and regulations.

Cost Management and Budgeting:

Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted within financial constraints.Drive cost reduction initiatives and track procurement savings against targets.Analyze spend data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Identify and mitigate risks in the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions, supplier financial instability, and compliance risks.Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including ethical sourcing practices.Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to manage procurement-related risks and ensure adherence to company policies.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Set clear goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and expectations for the procurement team.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s skills and capabilities.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and product development, to understand their procurement needs and align strategies.Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership on procurement matters, providing insights and recommendations.Ensure effective communication and coordination between the procurement team and other departments.

Technology and Process Optimization:

Implement and manage procurement technology solutions (e.g., e-procurement systems) to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making.Lead initiatives to automate and digitize procurement activities where possible.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, including spend analysis, savings, supplier performance, and risk management.Monitor key procurement metrics and provide regular updates to the executive team.Use data-driven insights to inform procurement strategies and decision-making.

The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of leading successful procurement strategies and delivering cost savings.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, regulations, and industry standards.Excellent leadership, team development, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience with procurement technology and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP) are a plus.Work Environment:Executive office setting with occasional travel to supplier locations and industry events.High-level collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Dynamic environment with a focus on strategic planning and operational excellence.Physical Demands / Working Environment:We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks.
