Position DescriptionAdministers local, inhalation, intravenous, and other anesthetics prescribed by Anesthesiologist to induce total or partial loss of sensation or consciousness in patients during surgery, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Provides anesthetic care under Anesthesiologist's direction.
Major/Essential FunctionsProvides Anesthesia services/care/treatment to patients.Documents Electronic Medical Records.Completes additional duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsCompletion of a graduate-level degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or any of the commission's successor organizations, which qualifies the candidate to sit for the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) examination, or scheduled to complete a graduate-level degree program accredited for anesthesiologist assistants within 90 days of applying for a position. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certification by the NCCAA as an Anesthesiologists Assistant- Certified (AA-C).
