37.5Position Focus:The Assistant Director, Facilities & Operations is responsible for the daily oversight of operations in select facilities within the Athletic Facilities Department. Provides oversight and management of access controls for all Athletics Facilities. Manages facility scheduling and has final approval/authority of Athletic Facilities for all varsity games, practices, special events, etc. Primary and secondary point of contact for select Athletic Facilities.Essential Duties:Plans and manages the scheduling, logistics, and operations of all events and programs for the facilities.Responsible for the management of special event and facility rentals.Serves as the Facilities Event Manager for all large rental events and assigned intercollegiate events.Estimates budget requirements for assigned areas.Plans and schedules all maintenance and repair work for assigned facilities.Coordinates the use of assigned athletic facilities for summer camps.Develops and implements facility policies regarding safety, security, liability, maintenance, ADA, budget, and personnel.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related demonstrated experience or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.Required Skill/Ability 1:Strong written and oral communications skills. Ability to communicate with coaches, administrators, internal/external groups, vendors, Yale Public Safety, Yale Lock Shop.Required Skill/Ability 2:Strong organization and attention to detail.Required Skill/Ability 3:Ability to analyze, evaluate and develop recommendations for efficiencies in operations.Required Skill/Ability 4:Proficient in computer operation and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to learn 25 Live (scheduling software), Arbiter (officials payments) and other job specific programs.Required Skill/Ability 5:Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:Master's degree preferred.
