We need your help to create an even better experience for our customers and get more people going solar than ever before. We are looking for a Marketing Specialist in our downtown Boston office. The Marketing Specialist executes the marketing strategies that drive awareness and preference for the Sungage brand within the solar community. This role acts as a champion of the brand, ensuring that all external and internal communications support and reinforce the Sungage brand personality. It involves collaboration with the Brand Marketing Manager, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Sales, Partner Success (PSM), Customer Support, Operations and Business Insights teams and reports to the Director of Marketing.In order to be highly effective, the Marketing Specialist will need extensive knowledge of Sungage’s product, target audiences, competitive landscape, available marketing communication channels, the creative development process, and possess excellent project management and communications skills. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing tools, content, and resources that drive revenue along with the rest of the marketing team.Responsibilities:

Administrative and project management skills (60%):Manage the resourcing and fulfillment of branded SWAG merchandisePropose and execute content for social mediaAssist Brand Manager with the maintenance of the database of marketing assets and ensure they are current and accurateProvide new hire onboarding assistance (business cards, headshots, account transition emails)Process the payment of invoices and follow up on accounts receivable issuesMaintain competitive claims databaseSupport the development of market research to optimize learning or build claim substantiationReport on responsiveness tracking for social and email campaignsDesign and campaign management skills (20%):Assist in the creation of sales enablement tools, such as collateral, presentations, videos, case studies, website, digital advertising, marketing emails and landing pagesDesign and deploy multi-channel marketing campaigns, that include email, in-app pop-ups, SMS messages, organic social mediaOversee the ideation and selection of branded SWAGConsult on other brand visualization opportunities such as work environment, holiday gifting, trade show presence, etc.Provide creative direction to freelance design workWriting and communication skills (20%):Produce relevant content that engages and drives response among our channel partners – blogs, newsletters, price change emails, infographics, videos, webinars, social media, website, and other interactive contentParticipate in the development of training materials in collaboration with key internal stakeholders including sales leadership, product and customer service leadersDevelop internal process documentation as neededPrepare and present marketing workflow status updates and online recapsManage our brand’s professional reputation through platforms like Trustpilot, Google, Yelp, EnergySage and Better Business Bureau by responding to exceedingly high praise or criticism in online reviews in a timely and professional mannerRequirements:

1-3 years of marketing experience in a dynamic, fast-paced marketing environment where innovation and agility are highly valuedExcellent writing skills (a writing sample will be required)Knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Adobe Express preferredStrong presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable in front of large, senior groupsExceptional critical thinking and project management skills; ability to prioritize and balance multiple, ongoing projects, organized and detail-orientedSolid quantitative/analytical skills and strong attention to detailExperience with Salesforce and marketing automation platformsMust be collaborative, comfortable in a start-up environment, and able to adapt as expectations and responsibilities evolveInterest in solar and/or working for a mission-driven companyBachelor’s degree in business or marketing or commensurate experiencePrevious solar experience a plusCOVID-19 VaccinatedSungage Financial is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer.
