Your Role: Marketing Manager & Social Media StrategistAs our Marketing Manager, you will be the creative force behind the growth and image of Sessions by the Bay. You’ll develop marketing strategies, create compelling content, and lead the social media presence across multiple platforms. You’ll also play a crucial role in shaping the customer experience across our dispensary and lounge operations. This position is perfect for someone who loves cannabis culture, has a strong vision for brand development, and thrives on delivering results.

What You’ll Do:Marketing & Brand Development:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.

Create and manage a marketing calendar, coordinating campaigns across digital, social, email, and in-store promotions.

Collaborate with the creative team to produce engaging content, including graphics, photos, and videos that reflect our unique brand voice.

Plan and execute events and promotions to increase community engagement and visibility.

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation:

Lead our social media presence across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X), creating fresh and engaging content.

Develop social media strategies that align with broader marketing goals and drive engagement.

Identify trends and capitalize on relevant opportunities to keep social media content exciting and on-brand.

Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to increase reach and conversions.

Monitor social media analytics, adjusting strategies based on data to maximize engagement and ROI.

Customer Experience Leadership:

Lead customer experience initiatives across both the dispensary and lounge, ensuring every guest feels welcome and valued.

Train staff on best practices to deliver an unforgettable experience, aligning with brand values.

Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve the overall experience and implement innovative solutions.

Collaborate with floor managers, customer service teams, and lounge staff to ensure brand consistency in customer interactions.

Community Engagement & Influencer Partnerships:

Cultivate relationships with influencers, brands, vendors, and community organizations to elevate our brand.

Plan and manage in-person and online events that engage the local community and build loyalty.

What We’re Looking For:

Passion & Knowledge:

Proven marketing experience, ideally within the cannabis or lifestyle industries, with a deep understanding of cannabis culture and products.

Strong social media experience:

including content creation and campaign management.

Leadership & Communication:

Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills:

especially in crafting brand stories.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of social media platforms and analytics tools.

Proficiency in marketing tools and software:

such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms.

Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. If not Bachelor's degree, you need to have incredible proven experience.

5+ years of marketing experience with a focus on social media strategy and content creation, ideally within the cannabis, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.

Deep understanding of social media analytics, audience targeting, and growth strategies.

Experience with paid social media advertising and campaign optimization.

Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate brand values into compelling narratives.

Proficiency in using marketing tools and software such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Insights, and email marketing platforms.

Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines.

Passionate about cannabis culture and the unique opportunity to shape its future in San Diego.
