We are the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator team, looking for a seasoned Principal Product Manager (Tech). This person will take a leadership role in defining the Selling Partner experience for our target population of Selling Partners who face systemic barriers due to their identity based on race, gender, sexual preference, ability status, etc. Our mission is to create generational wealth for business owners who face challenges like access to capital, lack of business education and mentorship, and limited networking opportunities. We strive to not only support the growth of these businesses in unique ways leveraging our strengths as an e-commerce company but also help create a safe space for these business owners to get a sense of community with their own peers and an organization that supports them in their bold endeavors. Currently, we focus on Black-owned Businesses through the Black Business Accelerator Program (BBA) and the larger universe of Small Businesses.
This role will lead the charter on helping us identify the unique needs of these business owners and build on top of existing systems that exist to assist new selling partners launching on Amazon Stores. Where necessary, we will create new products to address the unique needs of our Selling Partners (SPs). We already have a launched suite of products that will be directly owned by this role, and they will take over and define the future roadmap for them.
We envision the leader in this role to be a visionary, deeply passionate about the mission to support small businesses, especially those that face systemic barriers, and a product-focused professional who can be a thought leader, guide the larger organization, and create strategic paths to partner with education, business development, and marketing teams to serve SPs better. We also expect this role to interact and partner with other technical and product teams across the Selling Partner Services organization to deliver on goals.
Key job responsibilities- Own the roadmap and priority for Selling Partner Experiences offered via the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator Program.
About the teamUndiscovered Small Business Accelerator (USBA) helps drive the success of small and historically underrepresented business populations (including minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses). As a part of the USBA, Amazon has committed to empower Black entrepreneurs through the Black Business Accelerator (BBA), which provides access to educational, financial, and advisory resources that support Black-owned business owners succeed as sellers in Amazon’s store.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of technical product or program management experience- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement- Knowledge of SQL- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and effectively influence across cross-functional teams- Experience working with and influencing senior-level stakeholdersAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
