Our

Award-Winning Client , a leader in the aerospace industry known for its advanced technologies and national operations, is currently seeking a

Quality Assurance Manager

for their Anchorage, Alaska location. This position is within their esteemed Military Aircraft Group, which delivers cutting-edge flight controls and actuation systems for both commercial and military aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Anchorage site to plan, coordinate, and manage all on-site quality assurance activities, including overseeing product receiving and shipping.

Interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering change orders to assist in inspecting FAA TSOA articles.

Serve as an FAA Designee responsible for issuing FAA form 8130-3 documents.

Review and refine Manufacturing and Engineering work instructions to ensure appropriate quality inspection points are included.

Implement process changes and optimize equipment usage to enhance operational efficiency.

Prepare and manage first article inspection reports as required.

Direct and coordinate all site quality activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

Interface directly with customers and suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns.

Monitor product rejections, identify trends, and lead targeted improvement initiatives.

Ensure the traceability and retention of all site Quality documents and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Plan and oversee site calibration activities to maintain compliance.

Develop and enforce inspection criteria and site quality procedures in accordance with AS9100 standards.

Lead all Quality Audits at the site, including AS9100 Internal Audits, and act as the site AS9100 Lead Auditor.

Support on-site FAA, third-party, and customer audits as needed, and respond to audit corrective actions by leading improvement efforts.

Design and implement training programs for Quality inspection personnel to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills.

Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Quality Director.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or related field.

Minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in working and communicating across cross-functional departments, suppliers, and customers.

Experience in managing internal quality complaints, interpreting blueprints, and understanding technical documents such as engineering specifications and maintenance instructions.

Ability to write detailed reports and professional correspondence.
