Our 70-year-old global Aerospace & Defense client has asked The Maven Group to locate a talented Quality Assurance Manager to join their Anchorage, Alaska facility.This role requires the candidate to be onsite at my clients facility. Candidates not local to Anchorage can expect a generous company paid relocation assistance.Our client employs over 11,000 people across the globe and provides solutions to markets such as satellites, human-rated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, naval vessels, and security and surveillance.This position is a direct-hire, full-time role and includes an excellent benefits package including great medical coverage starting day one, profit sharing, a true retirement plan, and a generous tuition reimbursement of up to 15k/yr.The chosen Quality Assurance Manager will act as Alaska site leader to plan, coordinate, and execute all on-site requirements including overseeing receiving and shipping of product. They will be expected to interpret specifications, blueprints and change orders to assist in inspection of FAA TSOA articles and perform all duties as an FAA Designee for the issuance of FAA form 8130-3 documents.It is expected that the Quality Assurance Manager will also be responsible for all Quality Audits at the site and act as the AS9100 Lead Auditor and perform AS9100 Internal Audits.To be considered a viable candidate, you should possess:Bachelor’s Degree typically in a technical discipline.At least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience working and communicating with cross functional departments, suppliers, and customers.Experience handling common internal quality complaints.Experience interpreting blueprints, engineering specifications, engineering change orders and documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
