We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.Essential Duties:

Risk Management:

The role involves using advanced statistical and predictive analysis techniques (Big Data) to identify potential quality-related risks. Implementing risk mitigation strategies is crucial to prevent issues such as product recalls, safety incidents, losses, or compliance problems.Quality Management System (QMS) Ownership:

Maintain and enforce the Quality Management System across the manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Continuously review and improve the QMS to meet changing industry demands.Process Optimization:

Identifying opportunities for process improvement throughout the manufacturing cycle is vital. Collaboration with various teams is necessary to implement efficiency-enhancing measures while maintaining product quality.Quality Assurance and Control:

Rigorous quality assurance protocols need to be developed and implemented to monitor every stage of battery production. Establishing strict quality control measures is crucial for detecting and preventing defects.Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:

Lead investigations into quality issues and non-conformances, conducting root cause analyses to identify underlying problems. Implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.Metrics and Reporting:

Developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of quality initiatives is vital. Regular reports for senior management will highlight quality performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.Talent Development:

Building and leading a skilled team of quality professionals is necessary. Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the quality department ensures sustained improvement.Customer Satisfaction:

Collaboration with sales and customer quality teams is crucial for addressing customer complaints and feedback. This collaboration aims to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is essential. A Master's degree or higher education in a relevant discipline can be a significant advantage.Experience:

A substantial amount of experience in quality management and manufacturing operations is necessary, typically around 10-15 years or more. This experience should include progressively responsible roles in quality control, quality assurance, process improvement, and leadership.Quality Management System (QMS) Expertise:

In-depth knowledge and experience in maintaining Quality Management Systems compliant with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16494).Process Improvement:

Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management. Proven ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.Analytical Skills:
