Join the team that is a leader in engineering, designing and manufacturing of leading-edge military expeditionary products and rugged industrial/commercial products since 1937.What We Offer:Health benefits, including telehealth medical services, Dental & VisionLife, AD&D & Disability (paid for by the company)401K with a company matchSafe & clean work environmentEssential Duties:Develops, implements, manages and integrates a QMS for all manufacturing facilitiesServes as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvementEstablishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisionsSupports product engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customerLeads the implementation and documentation of procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspectionLeads root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvementsEstablishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product qualityLeads the development of process certification standards and assist in process certificationDirects the activities for maintaining for each manufacturing facility’s ISO certificationInterfaces with Government Quality Inspectors to ensure government quality requirements are achievedInteracts with customers to ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans, identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnelChampion Quality support to New Product Development activities in an integrated product team environment including process control for final product launch activitiesDirects internal and external quality auditsRequirements/Education/Experience/Abilities:Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Technical or Manufacturing Degree or related field preferredMinimum 7 years related quality management experience required; minimum of 5 years of supervisory/managerial experienceExperience in Lean Manufacturing preferredExperience in federal government contracting and subcontracting desirableWorking knowledge of engineering principles and ability to apply them in inspection activitiesExperience with developing/documenting procedures for ISO compliance programExperience in internal/external audit programs and proceduresExperience with ERP systems required, SAP operating system preferredUp to 30% travel required to HDT production facilities and vendorsThis specific position requires U.S. CitizenshipDisclaimer:
