Experienced in multiple markets and/or commodities, preferably with transmix experienceDevelops and implements short and long term corporate supply strategyNegotiates contracts and term dealsEvaluates regional supply/demand balances that affect commercial strategyDirects multi-functional studies and participates in setting strategic planManages value of product inventoryAnalyzes and generates process improvementsSkills/Knowledge
Develops and utilizes technical and fundamental market data to manage company exposureThoroughly familiar with properties of Transmix and similar commoditiesKnowledgeable in transportation economics, trading economics and market intelligenceHigh level of understanding of commercial and trading principles and processesExpected to propose and lead cross-functional strategy teams to optimize corporate returnSupervision
Subject to broad, managerial guidanceMay lead planning teams and/or multi-functional strategic studiesProvides guidance to others on the team on a wide range of activitiesEstablishes formal strategies for area of responsibilityInfluence
Primary liaison with major transmix suppliersDevelops an extensive network of internal and external industry contactsSeen and recognized by industry contacts as exemplary Sunoco professional with mature communication skillsKey negotiator with management of major customers to resolve difficulties or enhance opportunitiesRecognized by other groups and industry as knowledgeable professionalMaintains and promotes teamwork between multiple organizational functionsRequired Skills and qualifications
Minimum qualifications :Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience8+ years of relevant experienceMinimum of 3 years experience in commercial negotiations, or other assignment with outward facing commercial positionsMinimum 1 year experience in managing contracts and customer relationshipWell versed and experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Analytical background with regards to contract renewals and economics
