Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.As a Supervisor, Demand Planning, you will execute tactical activities supporting US demand forecasting and planning; participate in the development of highly predictable demand-based sales forecasts for all products in the business portfolio; work cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals. Key metrics include but are not limited to forecast accuracy, backorder avoidance and days on hand finished goods inventory. This position assumes the leadership role in communicating to Business Unit Management, Finance, Marketing and Sales and Manufacturing Operations issues related to product sales forecasts and product availability for global ADC.

This is an Onsite role in Alameda, CA.What You’ll Do:Responsible for executing tactical components of monthly Demand Planning and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes including but not limited to: consensus forecasts, cross-functional assumption alignment, and management review presentations; backorder tracking, reporting and resolution; managing the supply change request (SCR) process;Work cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals; coordinate with commercial management to develop product lifecycle; drive adherence to accountability.Support project teams to ensure project success; provide regular benchmarking and adjust processes where beneficial.Generate predictable forecasts for maximum benefit for resource allocation, capital utilization and investment decisions, including but not limited to: ability to dependably manage inventory and achieve DOH targets, reduce distressed inventory and assess staffing requirements; responsible for managing lot sequestering for Alameda key customers and the allocation process.Monitor and recommend modifications to service metrics and safety stock levels.Responsible for communicating product supply including decisions to reposition inventory throughout the world to minimize customer backorders.Develop and recommend contingency plans in response to unexpected changes in demand/supply; provide timely and thorough assessment of problems and formulate solutions; propose solutions which present minimal disruption to the business.Develop processes to mitigate reoccurrence.Participate in the preparation of executive level summaries and key assumptions, findings and observations along with actionable information; interpret ambiguous data; draw conclusions and provide recommendations.Monitor the monthly performance of sales and manufacturing to identify and communicate trends that indicate gaps; monitor and recommend modifications to manufacturing forecasts to optimize customer product supply service levels and days on hand finished goods inventory within assigned Area.In coordination with Marketing, transition strategy and forecasts during product transitions including product launches, end of life, conversions and transfers.Establish benchmark models for assisting Marketing in forecasting new products.Develop a dashboard and manage a reconciliation process with global commercial finance to identify variances between monthly demand forecasts and quarterly rLBE process.Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.AccountabilityDevelops accurate demand forecasts through continuous improvement of Class A demand planning and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes to maintain product availability to end customer at the highest possible level and manage finished goods inventory investment to target levels.Executing strategy as communicated by the department manager; coordinating and assisting in the implementation of processes.Contributing to short-term, mid-range and long-term organizational goals.Demonstrating continual improvement in forecasting and planning activities.Candidate works under general direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions and identifies and quantifies risks and their consequences relative to the success of a project/task and recommends appropriate action, decisions or recommendations to achieve departmental/project/task objectives.Drives functional performance to ensure cross-functional standards and expectations are met.Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors where strategic and tactical decisions will be made based upon data the individual provides in both formal and informal settings.Experience You’ll BringRequiredBachelor’s Degree: Marketing, Finance, Statistics or Business.Requires 5+ years of relevant work experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position.Strong analytical, financial, and information systems skills are required.Demand, Finance, Sales Forecasting and/or Production Planning Experience.Minimum 3 years Domestic and International interface experience.Project Management experience preferred.Preferred Skills:Comprehensive knowledge and ability to apply business concepts, procedures and practices to daily tasks.Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communication.Ability to work independently and in groups.Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills;
