We are seeking an

Employment Advocate

who will be responsible for managing a caseload of (50-75) youth and developing individualized educational and career plans.Work with youth individually and in group settings to address barriers hindering personal, education, and professional advancement. Responsible for connecting out-of-school youth to an array of services available on and off site that will develop their skills and result in certificates of academic completion and full-time employment. Prepare a written Individual Service Plan (ISP) that establishes specific goals and outcomes that enable youth participants to achieve assessment, adjustment, and employment goals. Assist with program recruitment and orientation for members. Network and develop partnerships to connect members to housing and additional resources for the participants. Identify employment and community opportunities, including education activities, training, employment scholarship information, financial aid opportunities, and vocational and apprenticeship programs. Match these opportunities to the youth's individual goals and activities. Maintain all case load documentation via the KidSmart system for each active youth participant on the assigned caseload that is inclusive of case/progress notes, Individual Service Plans (ISP), and other related case records. Assist in the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Engagement of youth participants and connection to an array of supportive services available internally and externally within Baltimore City. Consult with staff and other team members via team meetings and case conferencing to discuss youth progress and overall program progression. Counsel and advise participants, parents, guardians, or others concerned with the advancement and progress of youth participants.Perform other duties as necessary.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in education, sociology or other related field. Or, completed AA degree program in counseling or a related field and two (2) years of related youth work experience.Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
