Job Summary:

The Traveling Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and supervision of branch activities to meet overall credit union strategic goals in the absence of the Branch Manager. Guide, direct and supervise branch initiatives in providing exceptional service to members in the area of account transactions, loan applications, new accounts, and solving problems within established policies and procedures.

The hiring range for this non-exempt position is $21.63 - $28.85 per hour ($45,000 - $60,000 annually). Pay is commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations set forth by NCUA, CUNA, and other governmental authorities.

Travel to other branches as needed.

Manage loan interviews and process loans as needed.

Open accounts, service members, and perform transactions as needed.

Perform all duties in accordance with the credit union's service standards, operations policies, and procedures, and in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Identify reportable transactions and activities under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), its implementing regulations, and Unison's Anti-Money Laundering program. Comply with requirements under Unison's Member (Customer) Identification Program (CIP), FinCEN 314a procedures, and OFAC regulations and sanction programs.

Notify the Branch Manager, Chief Member Services Officer, or Human Resources of general maintenance of branch properties, ensuring that equipment such as air conditioning, heating systems, electrical systems, plumbing and other office equipment are properly functioning.

Answer routine to complex questions on products, services, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Observe work of branch employees to ensure highest level of quality service to members.

Support a cross-selling environment within the branch.

Ensure that the Branch Manager or Chief Member Service Officer is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the branch and of all-important factors influencing them.

Maintain operational procedures for the branch to maximize efficiency and quality of work and to provide consistent quality service to members.

Manage the security and safety for the branch.

Support the Tellers as needed for the branch.

Perform duties of Member Advisor.

Promote and maintain a knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and friendly staff and atmosphere for our members and co-workers.

Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for serving credit union members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the credit union.

Thorough knowledge of credit union operations, products, and services.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, members, and vendors.

A passion for providing exceptional member service.

2 - 3 years of previous lending experience preferred.

Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Education:

High school diploma or its equivalent.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full time employment is approximately 40 hours/week.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule:

Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri - 8:30am to 5:00pm, Thursday 8:30am - 6pm.

Thursday evening and Saturday morning rotation.

Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use a keyboard to enter text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a keyboard. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear, interpret and understand speech and/or other sounds to assist our credit union members. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to see details at close range most often from a computer screen. This position requires manual dexterity, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in an indoor office environment. This position uses standard office equipment, such as but not limited to, computers, check scanner, coin counter, TCR - Teller Cash Recycler, Drive thru canister equipment, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. The work characteristics described here are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
