Responsibilities
A day in the life of a
Billing Coordinator
at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:Verifies patient's insurance and acts as a liaison with patients regarding hospital charges.Assists physician billing department with gathering various information needed for collection of bills such as patient information, doctor referral letters, and copying of medical records.Ensures completion of all forms and collects complete billing information.Acts as a liaison to the Physician's by following up on all concerns regarding patient billing matters.Coordinates pertinent information of patient's medical record for submission to the physician billing service.Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.Word processing experience and experience with CPT coding standards.If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!
