Vertiv is hiring a Senior Director of Supplier Quality in Westerville, OH. This position has been designated to drive global coordination regarding supplier performance, provide a tighter focus on supplier selection in the NPDI process, and generate stronger alignment with the Global Procurement organization as we grow the global supply base. Specifically, the role provides leadership, direction, support and accountability for planning, controlling and improving quality and reliability of supplier performance on a global scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Driving supplier performance at the Regional and Global level

NPDI process interface, driving requirements for reliability and supplier selection

Lead and manage the full scope of supplier quality performance on Global scale

Initiate and participate in projects aimed towards improving our ability to identify and measure product/process quality effectiveness within the supply base

Develop and implement strategies to meet annual supplier quality improvement KPI and metric goals (NPDI though EOL)

Analyze supplier and field performance data to improve supplier quality and reliability

Continuously improve Supplier Quality organizational structure to maximize effectiveness

NPDI interface and participation regarding supplier requirements and selection

Oversee supplier selection processes

Coordinate supplier recovery process with procurement, holding the supply base accountable for their performance

Maintain Global Supplier Quality Manual

Supervise Regional Supplier Quality leaders including assigning and reviewing work and evaluating performance. Supervise, delegate, and prioritize workload. Implement staff procedures and conduct staff meetings. Train staff on policies, procedures, and internal controls

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications:

B.S. Engineering, Business, or other relevant bachelor’s degree

7+ years of Quality management experience, including 2 yrs. experience in manufacturing or quality engineering, and demonstrated ability to interface with supply base

Principles of Lean manufacturing, including 2 yrs. experience in applying Lean techniques

Working knowledge of procurement practices and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills and ability to implement change

Quality Management knowledge including statistical techniques and methods

Ability to design, develop and implement effective Quality Systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required (upper level English speaking)

Ability to develop individuals and organizations to be effective

Ability to organize multiple tasks, priorities and projects

Ability to instruct and train on multiple subjects

Experience in manufacturing

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

B.S. Engineering, Business, or other relevant bachelor’s degree
