The Vice President of Employee Benefits (EB) Operations is a newly created and key leadership role that will partner with the Patriot Leadership Team and Regional Presidents in supporting and executing on the strategic direction of the group benefits and individual health (Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicare) business lines. This role will also lead and support the operational diligence and integration of Employee Benefits agencies during mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is critical in ensuring the seamless delivery of benefits services to our clients and the successful integration of new agencies to enhance Patriot Growth Insurance Services' competitive edge.The position is a fully remote position, with travel that equates to 2-3 trips per month to partner agencies offices and corporate office.Professional Responsibilities:Develop and implement operational strategies for both group benefits and individual health that align with the company's objectives and regulatory requirements.Lead the operational due diligence process for EB agencies during M&A activities, assessing risks and opportunities to inform decision-making and evaluating operational capabilities, financial health, and cultural fit.In partnership with the Manager of M&A Integration, support the integration of EB agencies post-M&A, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with the company's standards and practices, with a focus on a positive integration experience for the agency and a goal of making Patriot referrable to other M&A prospects.Collaborate with the other leadership team members to support organic growth and the maintenance and improvement of margin through innovation, and operational effectiveness.Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to optimize benefits operations and deliver exceptional service to agencies.Work closely with the VP of Carrier & Wholesale relationships as well as TRUE Network to maximize carrier relationships and revenue while always supporting decisions that are in the best interest of the client.Drive innovation in benefits administration and delivery through technology and process improvements, including support of the Patriot Center of Excellence employee benefits management system platform.Maintain a deep understanding of the EB market, ACA coverage, and Medicare to guide strategic planning and decisions, as well as operational excellence.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer priority, and operational agility within the EB operations team.Partner with the leadership team to contribute to the overall growth and success of the national insurance brokerage.Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies, to build strong relationships and advocate for the company's interests.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of EB operations and identify areas for enhancementQualifications and Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Insurance, Healthcare Management, or related fieldAn advanced degree (Masters, Graduate) is preferredMinimum 5 years of proven experience in leading employee benefits (EB) operations within a national insurance brokerage or similar environmentStrong knowledge of group benefits, ACA coverage, Medicare, and the regulatory landscape affecting these areasKnowledge of carrier and “upline” hierarchy in both individual health and individual life preferredDemonstrated success in managing M&A operational diligence and agency integrationsStrong financial acumen and understanding of the key drivers of an agency’s profit and loss statements, as well as its producers’ compensationProficient with Microsoft Office Suite toolsExcellent leadership, collaboration, financial/operational analysis skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plansAbility to travel 2-3 times per monthAuthorize to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipWhy Patriot Growth Insurance Services?Patriot offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company since its inception.
