Digital Relationship Campaign Manager

McKinley Marketing Partner's client is seeking a digital relationship campaign manager to join their team. The campaign manager will be responsible for developing and executing direct digital campaigns. This person will develop strategies and manage the execution of email and SMS campaigns supporting various programs. The ideal candidate will also have experience in leveraging automation to deliver highly dynamic and personalized emails and journeys.
This is a long-term (12+ months) W2 contract. Candidates should be able to commute to D.C. 1-2 times per week. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities
Develop strategy and manage execution for email and SMS campaigns in support of various programs
Participate in efforts to transition email programs to automated, AI-driven sends that leverage orchestration tools and CMS to deliver dynamic and highly personalized content
Work with stakeholders and implementation teams to develop business rules and processes for content delivery, and with analytic teams in establishing reporting and deriving insights to suggest journey and content optimizations
Identify and recommend opportunities for improved audience segmentation and targeting, especially through triggered email and email journeys
Manage internal and external agency teams for tactical implementation, test-and-learn optimization activity, and reporting and analytics
Coordinate cross-functionally across project teams to help define and deliver on project goals
Coordinate with email channel managers to calendar email activity to meet desired execution dates, maximize the audience, and minimize conflict
Oversee campaign budgets, agency progress, and project utilization rates
Work closely with analytic resources to define measures and metrics for success
Analyze campaign results to cull insights and learnings, communicating these with relevant stakeholders
Develop customer journey maps to articulate the intended customer experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 8+ years of experience executing email and direct response campaigns
Experience in an agency or client-service role strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience leveraging marketing automation to deliver highly dynamic and personalized journeys and emails
Strong analytical skills, including experience deriving insights and recommendations from data and reports
Demonstrated ability to document a range of outputs from high-level strategies to execution details in a variety of formats such as Word, PPT, Excel, Visio, etc.
Strong understanding of email communication strategies - both written and visual standards, deliverability, and segmentation practices (this is not a technical role, exposure to technologies that drive dynamic and personalized email campaigns is preferred)
Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder, Kitewheel, and/or similar orchestration tools
Experience with Agile development, JIRA, and Confluence is preferred
