The Vice President (VP) of Marketing oversees Zirrus’ marketing strategy and department. They are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and grow revenue. They also lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, and collaborate with senior leadership to define marketing goals, priorities, budgets and new product offerings.
Essential Job Functions
Marketing strategy: Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to improve brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and increase revenue aligning with the overall business strategic objectives
Brand awareness: Increase brand awareness through a cohesive marketing plan
Market analysis: Analyze the market for existing products, study trends, and monitor campaign performance
Budgeting: Analyze data to develop the marketing department's budget, including requests for staff, software, advertising space, and promotional merchandise
Campaign supervision: Oversee all marketing campaigns and improve them when possible
Competitor tracking: Track competitor activities
Team leadership: Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and professional growth
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ten years of marketing experience and five years of management experience
Working knowledge of SEO, web analytics, and Google Adwords
Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
Strong leadership, communications, analytical, and project management skills
Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
Proven history of Critical Thinking capability
Work with and collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to assist in developing strategic plans and meeting overall corporate objectives
Education and Experience
BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field
MBA or Master’s Degree in a Marketing related field preferrred
