System Performance Engineer to support our Las Vegas Team.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceThree (3) to Five (5) years of RF Engineering, In-Building DAS, RAN or Small Cell experience with RF Math competencyAdvanced knowledge of industry test equipment, such as: Spectrum Analyzer, Demodulator, Cable Analyzer, Power Meters, Scanners, UE’sAbility to complete RF Link Budgets, Power Sharing and Noise Figure CalculationsAbility to interpret blueprints and iBwave design filesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to “think outside the box” and meet customer deadlines, perform as the “go-to” person for other CTS /customer issuesAbility to remain calm under pressure and present a positive professional attitude at all times.Ability to find and isolate troubles in distributed antenna systems thru logical troubleshooting methods and signal tracingStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changeMust be a self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and in team environments with a positive attitudeMust be able to travel within region with valid driver’s licenseJOB DESCRIPTION:This position will insure that installed systems are performing and operating as designed and in accordance with all CTS standards and practices, and fulfill all contractual obligations. The System Performance Engineer will ensure that CTS’s quality standards are met and/or maintained in all work performed. As projects progress to completion, this position will conduct job site visits to monitor progress and collect required RF data to be used to optimize the system. The System Performance Engineer will complete the final optimization data collection and post processing. The System Performance Engineer will train local personnel as needed on CTS processes and procedures, test equipment operation, and vendor specific equipment operation. This position will also assist as need to troubleshoot issues with installed system as needed to meet system turn-up requirements and deadlines.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for onsite technical implementation and troubleshooting of In-Building distributed antenna systems (DAS) and other managed networks.Perform pre and post RF benchmark data collection and data analysis.Interface with CTS operations teams to ensure networks are accurately built with highest quality standards.Perform CW testing, spectrum analysis, segment and system sweep testing as well as PIM and OTDR testing, as required.Perform DAS maintenance to include fault analysis, interference mitigation, and link balancingSupport CTS NOC and respond to Technical Trouble Tickets to investigate and solve the performance issues with Inbuilding DAS systems. Some after-hours may be required to meet SLA’s.Support DAS troubleshooting during the maintenance window, including collaboration and communication with Mobile Network Operators and Neutral Host venues.Oversee AHJ inspections and 3rd party testing as necessary.Work collaboratively with CTS operation teams and clients to meet or exceed contractual obligations and client expectations.Provide technical guidance to the Project Manager and other members of the Construction Team to mitigate or prevent any issues that may arise during the project.Ensure Regional Director/Operations Manager and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or budget.Use of small hand tools to perform minor installation tasks.Maintain comprehensive project documentation using CTS’ cloud-based file systemResponsible for creating and generating technical updates, reports and mops for the In-Building DAS systems. Conduct field work and organize test/measurement files.Continuously improve practices based on lessons learned in the design and implementation process.Capacity to learn new DAS hardware and software in a short time working under pressure.Complete understanding of CTS Products and Services and ability to troubleshoot issues when needed.Ability to conduct training of new personnel on CTS procedures and processes.Ability to remain calm under pressure and present a positive professional attitude at all times.Complete understanding of all technologies used in communication systems, to include but not limited to, CDMA, GSM, 1X-EVDO, LTE, UMTS, WiMax, WiFi , Public Safety, SMR, etc.Complete understanding of DAS equipment and optimization techniques for thefollowing vendors - CMA, Solid, Commscope, Tyco, ADRF, TEKO, Zinwave, Dali, Cisco, and CSI.Ability to find and isolate troubles in distributed antenna systems thru logical troubleshooting methods and signal tracing.Must possess ability to identify and locate RF interferers using test equipment in all frequency bands.Must possess a complete knowledge of data networks and how they differ from voice networks in optimization and performance measurement.Working knowledge of carrier’s architecture to assist local teams with verification of script files and neighbor lists to eliminate issues associated with base stations and macro networks.Complete understanding of iBwave and propagation modeling used in in-building designs.Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to speak before an audience.Ability to “think outside the box” and meet customer deadlines, perform as the “go-to” person for other CTS /customer issuesWeekly Reports and Logs are updated and all required databases and tracking logs complete
