If so, our Defense Systems (NGDS) wants you to join our team as a Mission Assurance Manager 1. This position is full time, on-site located in Lake Charles, LA. You will be supporting our P-3 Customs and Border Protection Program at the Depot.Your duties include, but are not limited to:Support all operation inspection needs and communicate quality issues as appropriate.
Works with Quality Inspectors on career development and training.
Resolves employee constraints and/or resource priorities to provide support to Operations.
Responsible for monitoring on-site Suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Responsible for implementation of proactive quality initiatives or projects to support program affordability and technical compliance.
Interacts closely with production leadership on a daily basis.
Drives affordability through first-time quality and highly effective root cause and corrective actions.
Perform as the communication and management focal point to the program for the Mission Assurance at the depot.
Responsible to manage to establish metrics in accordance with Mission Assurance requirements and in consideration of Program objectives.
Interface with Program Management and customers as required on issues, action plans, and requested content.
Basic Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED with 6+ years applicable experience or a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years' experience (such as quality, manufacturing).
At least 2 years' experience in leading teams of 5-10 people and established clear expectations and inspired commitment.
Proficiency in root cause and corrective action processes.
Basic level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, and governmental regulations, including AS9100.
Ability to obtain and maintain Active DHS CBP SS Background Investigation within a reasonable amount of time as specified by the business.
US Citizenship required.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
Airframe & Power Plant Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a Depot Environment.
Advanced understanding of Quality Management Systems e.g., AS9100.
Active DOD Secret Clearance that has been granted or renewed in the past 6 years.
Active DHS CBP SS Background Investigation.
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification to help drive continuous improvement.
Experience working with Government agencies.
Experience with trend data analysis.
Contract compliance and auditing experience.
6 or more years P-3 Orion experience.
Inspection Authorization (IA).
Salary Range:
$99,400 - $149,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
