$39.00 to $45.00 an hourAs our next Contract Vegetation Program Manager, you’re on your way to the open road and traveling the trails! We keep the lights on anywhere there’s a power line - whether in the city, the rural countryside, or deep in the remote forest. As a Lead Consulting Utility Forester, you’ll keep communities informed about the trees and power lines, while ensuring safe delivery of their power and pursuing opportunities to develop sustainable habitat throughout the utility right-of-way. As our company continues to expand across the country and beyond, new career opportunities become available.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSContact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removalsConduct tree and brush inventoriesConduct hazard tree inspections and evaluationsPlan work for tree contractorsManage dataSafeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work areaEnforce on-the-job safety practicesCarry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work siteService trucks and equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashionPerform other related duties as required or assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Degree in forestry or related field and/or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in utility line clearance or species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth ratesThe CVPM shall exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practicesAbility to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offerValid driver’s license with clean driving recordStrong verbal and written communications skillsAbility to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weatherProficient in map navigation skillsExperience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
