Senior Project Manager, Commercial ConstructionSummary Description : The role of the Project Manager is to lead, direct, and coordinate the overall management of the project and team, per the total scope of services as defined in each project’s contract documents, to meet the project profit objectives.Company Description:
Impetus, a Palmisano Company, is a general contractor that provides construction services in various spaces, including commercial, civil, industrial, pre-fabrication, historic, healthcare, hospitality, design-build, self-perform, multi-family, urban mixed-use, and arts and culture.Responsibilities and Duties:Create cost efficiencies through process improvement.Support and drive utilization of various Impetus initiatives and technologies.Manage owner billings and project schedule from startup through closeout, optimizing processes to achieve targets in safety, budget, schedule, quality control, and client satisfaction.Develop a comprehensive understanding of the project through immersion into the documents.Execute action items to achieve stated objectives and KPIs, delegating where appropriate.Understand and enforce contracts.Effectively facilitate subcontractor startup meetings and coordinate between subcontractors for optimized performance.Coach, develop, and retain a high-performance project team.Uphold brand standards.Manage the client, employee, and subcontractor experiences proactively.Continuously reinforce the core values and manifesto, leading by example.Lead quality control plan implementation and compliance.Participate in industry associations.Focus on the details and set the direction of the project.Ensure usage of enabling technologies and workflows.Proactively monitor financial performance of the project.Analyze risk and take action to mitigate early.Report progress on stated performance targets and KPIs.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.6+ years of experience in a commercial construction firm.Ability to travel as needed to different projects throughout the state of Louisiana.Exceptional relationship building, listening, and communication skills.Ability to create and support team morale.Thorough knowledge of construction forecasting, cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and accounting principles.Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.Demonstrated understanding of building processes and systems.Impetus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
