We relentlessly pursue medicines to ease the burden of debilitating diseases and disorders.About the Role:Work closely with the Field Medical team, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical Communications and Information, Publications, and relevant other departments and key stakeholders within the company (clinical, commercial, finance, corporate communications, etc.) to support the planning and tactical execution of medical and cross-functional plans and projects. Responsible for several aspects of tracking and planning of Medical Affairs (MA) projects, including preparation of monthly dashboards, basic congress operational support, support of budget reconciliations and operational support for initiatives across MA.Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):Responsible for securing appropriate booth space, booth vendor support, onsite meeting space for congresses at which MA will have a presence.Provides meeting management and facilitation support to MA to ensure projects and plans move forward.Creates and communicates program status through monthly dashboards and other reporting materials. Includes collecting information and ensuring accuracy of reports.Works closely with leadership, MA Planning & Operations in support of accounting reconciliation efforts and tracking of spending commitments.Supports department initiatives, as needed.Supports leadership, MA Planning and Operations with tracking of MA initiatives and maintaining platform for sharing status of initiatives cross-functionally.Communicates regularly with leadership, MA Planning and Operations regarding budget tracking.Escalates project issues and risk mitigation to leadership, MA Planning and Operations in a timely manner.Works with supervisor to continually assess the effectiveness of dashboard content and ensure appropriate communication of information flow from MA across the company.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience and 2+ years of experience supporting Medical Affairs teams in Pharma/Biotech/Devices OR Master's degree and some related experience.Strong ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.Excellent presentation and highly proficient computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Working knowledge of accounting reconciliation and tracking of spending commitments.Knowledge of event planning, working with vendors and securing necessary space for booths/meetings.Good knowledge of project based dashboards to communicate to stakeholders.Familiar with automation tools to present information and data to appropriate audiences.Understands Neurocrine's business objectives and developing understanding of Neurocrine's services and customers.Has experience in specific functional discipline while working to acquire higher-level knowledge and skills.Comfortable with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area.Ability to work as part of a team.Strong computer skills.Good communications, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills.Detail oriented.Ability to meet deadlines.Good project management skills.Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to build successful relationships with internal experts/teams and other stakeholders.Flexible and able to work independently to manage work priorities and follow tasks through to completion.Thrives when working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.Quick learner, goal oriented and results driven.Team player with well-developed skills for gaining the cooperation of others and ensuring effective communication among team members.Neurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/AA/Disability/Vets employer. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
