Support scientists by configuring, improving, implementing research software systems.Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Develops configurations for systems (LIMS or similar) data tracking.

Gathers technical requirements from users for new software system projects.

Supports the development of solutions for integration of common and novel research software systems.

Supports projects and initiatives on large interdisciplinary teams.

Proactively monitors, troubleshoots more complex issues and implements improvements for already in place data systems.

Trains and supports users in proper software system usage.

Creates and maintains documentation on proper software system usage.

Recommends enhancements to data workflow processes.

Recommended: experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting scientific off the shelf applications (COTS) such as Spotfire, ChemDraw, MOE, PyMol and other research lab software.

Requirements:

BS/BA degree in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, within a research setting.

Proficient in usage and purpose of a LIMS platform in a research setting.

Proficient in usage of and purpose of issue tracking software in a support setting.

Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills.

Familiarity with cloud/open source servers.

Understands Neurocrine's business objectives and developing understanding of Neurocrine's services and customers.

Has experience in specific functional discipline while working to acquire higher-level knowledge and skills.

Comfortable with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area.

Strong computer skills.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Good project management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Able to provide ideas for data process improvements.

Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
