HDR's Senior Architectural Coordinator in the Chicago office will work under the supervision of a licensed Architect to evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications for assignments that require investigation of many variables in all phases of the architectural process. Duties include:Evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications for healthcare design projects, including inpatient and clinical facilities assignments;Write architectural specifications;Perform code reviews;Assist with the development of design concepts;Prepare graphic materials to communicate concepts;Perform independent pre-design research on subject, context, and precedents;Build physical scale models of architectural concepts;Develop Energy analysis models;Assist in the cost estimation process during the design phase;Evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications to presentations, architectural design, and construction documents.HDR's Senior Architectural Coordinator will regularly use the following tools and technologies: AutoCAD; 3D modeling software such as 3D Max, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper; Virtual and augmented reality software such as Enscape, Unity 3D; Energy analysis with Sefaira, Honeybee, Ladybug (with Python coding skills to supplement these tools), daylight analysis with DIVA, digital fabrication, and Adobe Creative Suite software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Requirements:Master's Degree in Architecture or a related field and 6 months' experience in architecture (foreign equivalent accepted);
