About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Engineering- Quality Systems to lead the implementation of major business systems with regard to Quality, including the Manufacturing Engineering Systems, ERP, and contributing to the integration of a Learning Management System with a Quality mindset. Based at our Saint Louis, Mo corporate headquarters you will have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple regions, sites, functions and business units as we improve our business in support of our company objectives and True North Vision.Key Responsibilities
Support enterprise vision and transformation: Collaborate with senior management and global functional leaders to develop strategies that align with our enterprise vision and drive transformation within our organization to better support our customers and business objectives.Support business growth initiatives: Work closely with other functional groups to support our business growth initiatives, ensuring that objectives for advancing technical capability are aligned with business priorities.Provide technical and financial insights: Provide the organization with technical and financial information on projects, assisting in making appropriate prioritization and portfolio decisions.Defining Policy and Procedures: Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.Auditing Systems: Conducting system audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions to address issues.Linking Training Programs to Quality: Ensuring training programs are effective in supporting customer and Watlow’s TN objectives.Metrics to support TN objectives: Developing and implementing systems for tracking and analyzing quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Document Management Systems Support the Business: Ensuring that business documentation is up-to-date, accurate and aligned across the business.Working at the Customer Pace: Ensuring that all quality-related issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.Required Qualifications
Advanced degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering.10 or more years of related experience in Quality management.Project management experience.Desired Qualifications
Experience in one or more engineering/quality disciplines.Strong problem-solving skill set.Leads from a position of influence versus authority.Demonstrated ability to create/foster a leadership environment that is conducive to teamwork and supports a fast-paced, highly visual, and collaborative work environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Enterprise ISO implementation across multiple sites and countries.Understand effective matrix organizations.Implementation and/or working knowledge of major business systems (LMS, EPR, MES).Benefits:
