Job Description:

NDi seeks a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Image Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing operating system images for deployment within a Federal IT enterprise environment. The engineer will be responsible for the creation, customization, and deployment of standardized Windows operating system images across the organization. This role involves working with MECM to ensure efficient and consistent delivery of operating systems, drivers, and applications to all DOJ endpoints.

Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.

This position is currently hybrid (remote/onsite) and will require working onsite, at minimum two days a week.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5 years' minimum relevant experience as a Microsoft Image Deployment Engineer or similar role.

Hands-on experience with deployment tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Active Directory.

Proficiency in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM).

Strong knowledge of Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) and Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK).

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., App-V, Hyper-V, VMware).

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve deployment-related issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with IT team members and end-users.

Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate is a plus.

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain MECM policies and configurations for software deployment, patch management, compliance, and security.

Design, deploy, and maintain the MECM infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points, and management points.

Manage deployment, management, and troubleshooting of programs, applications, updates, and security patches across Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets.

Create, test, and deploy software packages, applications, and updates using MECM.

Create, test, and manage virtual application packages using App-V.

Ensure that virtual applications are compatible with the organization's IT environment.

Troubleshoot issues related to virtualized applications and resolve conflicts with other applications or system components.

Deploy virtualized applications to end-users through MECM or other deployment tools.

Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches and software updates.

Monitor MECM environment health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability.

Manage software deployments, updates, and patches across endpoints, ensuring timely and consistent application of updates.

Configure and manage endpoint security features such as antivirus, encryption, and endpoint detection and response (EDR).

Collaborate with IT teams to integrate MECM with other systems and tools, such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and third-party applications.

Provide guidance and support to IT staff and end-users on MECM functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting.

Remain up-to-date with Microsoft technologies and best practices related to endpoint management and security.
