Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) Systems Engineer to support and enhance our IT infrastructure in Washington, DC. This hybrid role involves designing, deploying, and managing MECM environments and related system administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with MECM (formerly SCCM), virtualization tools, Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD), the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK), and Active Directory (AD).

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) infrastructure for software deployment, patch management, and OS deployment across the enterprise.

Create, deploy, and manage Windows images using Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) and Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK).

Develop, test, and deploy software packages and updates to endpoints.

Design and implement group policies (GPOs) and manage Active Directory (AD) configurations to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Support virtualization tools (Hyper-V, VMware) for deployment and testing environments.

Troubleshoot MECM and SCCM-related issues, including package deployment, imaging, and task sequence errors.

Provide Tier 2/3 support to resolve escalated technical issues in endpoint management and OS deployment.

Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to maintain a secure and stable environment.

Assist in the planning and execution of Windows OS migrations and system upgrades.

Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, ensuring clear and thorough records for team collaboration and future reference.

Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support ongoing projects and improve IT service delivery.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on MECM (SCCM), OS deployment, and systems administration.

In-depth knowledge of MECM/SCCM for patch management, software deployment, and Windows OS imaging.

Experience with Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer (ICD) and the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK).

Strong expertise in Active Directory (AD) administration, including GPO management and user authentication.

Proficiency with virtualization tools such as VMware, Hyper-V, or other similar platforms.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues related to MECM, virtualization, and Windows systems.

Knowledge of security best practices for systems administration and endpoint management.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.

Familiarity with cloud-based endpoint management solutions such as Intune.

Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator.
