Position Summary

Helps strategize and implement marketing efforts

Provide Day- to- Day insight and oversees of Media campaign production and delivery

Research Market trends, competition to identify ideal product characteristics and compile reports

Creates marketing campaign content like graphics, social media posts, website, e-blast, press release and executing marketing events for each business

Combines creativity, analytical abilities, and strong communication skills to build and maintain consistent brand presence across online and offline channels.

This role will pay an hourly rate between $17 to $20.

About the VenueOur venue is a spacious 45-acre complex that includes various facilities to accommodate a consumer’s needs with a variety of venue spaces available. These include the Marvin and Laura Berry Pavilion, two Exhibit Halls, Conference Center, Equestrian Center, and the Middletown Meadow.

With our multi-purpose venue, we offer the capability to utilize our facility for events such as rodeos, livestock showing/selling, boxing, wrestling, concerts, trade/consumer shows, corporate meetings, banquets, weddings, quinceañeras, parties, horse events, sporting events, and so much more! The Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds provides varied opportunities for Nueces County residents and serves as a place for the community to gather and share experiences. The facility is owned by Nueces County and managed by OVG.

Responsibilities

Assist with coordinating day-to-day digital marketing program, including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, lnstagram, Snapchat, Google Analytics, Tik Tok, etc.

Provide creative support to the venue's sales team. Assist with preparing presentations and proposals

Assist with all grassroots efforts including poster & flier distribution, community appearances and overall expansion of marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure

Generate new and creative ideas to attract new events/self-created events and to promote events when booked, including social media and food & beverage promotions

Update website, marquee and in-arena digital display systems

Assist with the sales, marketing, and solicitation of new business opportunities for Group Sales department

Maintain complete and accurate records for customers

Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

Research and provide creative approaches to increase sales and further develop the fan experience

Participate in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions

Analytical Abilities/ Performance Measurement: Conducting research to analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, understanding data, metrics, and customer behavior. They prepare reports by collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data to help refine strategies such as a sales forecast

Communication: Communicating campaign deliverables, objectives, and timelines to their team while providing instructions for promotion or use.

Sales Support: Maintaining an inventory and communicating with Sales Director to support materials, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating new material creation as needed.

Strategic Planning: Developing effective marketing strategies aligned with business goals by planning and analyzing and assembling safe forecasts, updating calendars and organizing and planning promotional presentations.

Campaign Execution: Deploying successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.

Audience Engagement: Experimenting with various organic and paid acquisition channels (e.g., content creation, social media, lead generation (e-blast, online content, etc.)).

Content Creation: Producing valuable and engaging content for websites, social media and other audience target platforms. Creativity fuels innovative campaigns. Ability to think outside the box, develop unique strategies, and create compelling content.

Relationship Building: Partnering with industry players, agencies, and vendors.

Organizational Skills: Effective coordination requires managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and campaigns. Maintaining an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed

Communication Skills: Clear communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is crucial. A marketing coordinator must convey ideas, instructions, and updates effectively.

Adaptability: Marketing landscapes change rapidly. A coordinator who can adapt to new tools, technologies, and trends stays ahead.

Collaboration: Coordinators work closely with the Sales Director and General Manager and other team members. Being a team player is essential

Qualifications

Associates Degree or certification in marketing or advertising

Two (2+) years of professional work experience in graphic design, marketing, public relations, communications, and/ or brand management or advertising or a closely related field

Basic knowledge & interest in marketing and advertising functions

Intermediate to strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

Understands the concept of branding

Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, lnstagram, Twitter, )

Skilled at using spreadsheet or database software knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint web page development and digital marketing tools including MS Office, web analytics and Google Ad words

Previous event or entertainment marketing experience a plus

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in the English language

Well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments

Flexible-must be available to work evenings, weekends, and all event days as assigned

Team player who is creative and a proactive problem solver

Proficiency with campaign delivery software

Self-starter who can work with limited supervision

Strong attention to detail from proofreading content to ensuring consistent branding.

Time Management skills

Illustrator, Canva

Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools

Solid experience in coordinating and leading SEO/SEM, display advertising, social media, email and marketing database campaigns and working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS development and constraints.
