Reporting to the VP of Perioperative and Procedural Services, the Business Director is responsible for providing back-office leadership and support for Perioperative and Procedural Services, managing processes related to financial & strategic planning, and process improvement activities. This position will oversee all internal initiatives such as OR scheduling team management, block scheduling management, OR utilization, and timely processing of OR patient billing. Compiles and administers the annual capital budget with the leadership team. Facilitates equipment and supply purchases, maintains service contracts, develops supply contracts, and prepares the annual operational budget with the assistance of Surgical Services management. The position works in collaboration with each of the hospitals' Service Line Administrators, Nursing Director, Surgical Director/Chair of surgery & Anesthesiology and Supply Chain, Sterile Processing, Patient Access, and Finance for operational-related and strategic planning and process improvement. The Business Director will also serve as a key member of the Perioperative Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the oversight of process improvement initiatives to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency of daily operations in collaboration with Nursing and Surgical Leadership and other key stakeholders in Anesthesia and Surgery Departments.

Required Education/Experience:

MHA, MBA, or equivalent with financial emphasis.

Eight (8) plus years' experience working in a large academic healthcare organization or system.

Experience working within a Perioperative / OR environment.

At least five (5) years' experience in analyzing, interpreting perioperative data to create, develop, and integrate information into presentations and visual systems for decision making.

Three (3) years or more people leadership experience, including direct supervision of staff.

Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial analysis and/or strategic planning.

Demonstrated ability to lead in an environment of rapid change.

Experience with statistical analysis.

Preferred:

Hospital financial management / analysis.

Data analysis and 'storytelling' with data.

Program-based analysis.

Compensation Range:

$135,408.00 - $203,112.00 per year

Salary Information:

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
