Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Grants Coordinator for the department of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The primary purpose of the Grants Coordinator position is to support the research mission in the Department of Pediatrics and coordinate grant and funding initiatives for the department/program/project(s).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Serves as principal department liaison between research support team and Pediatric Principal Investigators to coordinate budgeting and federal and state grant application processes.Provides program management support for Principal Investigators including but not limited to supporting faculty with preparation of grant applications and recruitment of budgeted staff on awarded grants.Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all grant related materials and applications.Serves as a resource for developing grant applications including preparation of grant proposals, proofreading and editing documents and proposal processing.Assists with the compilation, tracking and filing of budgets, agreements, contracts, sub-contracts etc. and coordinates with faculty and staff project members in an efficient and timely manner.Maintains integrity and quality control of databases, websites and grant materials.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience

Master's Degree in a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in grant writing and/or program development, preferably in an academic and/or healthcare setting.Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

Must have strong oral and writing skills, good interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills.Special consideration given to candidates with web design and/or technical grant writing experience.
