Job DescriptionThe Director of Supply Chain Planning & Fulfillment for the Automotive Services Department (ASD) is responsible for Supply & Demand Planning and delivery. The ideal candidate will be analytically driven providing insights that influence executive level decision making, setting up Bose for success through different scenarios and sales/supply chain environments. The candidate will drive continuous improvement to place Bose at the forefront of industry standard planning best practices to enhance performance across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Balance the supply and demand functions within ASD supply chain
Lead the S&OP process and facilitate meetings with input from key functional areas (Operations, Sales, Product Development, Finance) to develop a supply plan that maximizes service and minimizes cost
Root cause Supply / Demand exceptions and implement sustainable solutions for recurring issues
Create a culture of performance accountability, continuous improvement and both internal and external collaboration
Provide subject matter expertise for demand planning, inventory planning, network optimization and capacity planning
Coordinate new product launches readiness from the Supply Chain through coordination with Sales and Engineering
Lead vendor / software selection process that drives efficiency and enhances analytical capabilities of the Supply Chain in ASD
Supply Chain Strategy and Continuous Improvement:
Launch new/enhanced S&OP process across all relevant functions
Lead localization initiatives to reduce cost and risk
Implement Cost Center of Excellence initiatives across Supply/Demand
Drive continuous improvement on OTIF and Forecast Accuracy to reduce operational inefficiencies while simultaneously improving customer service
Contract Manufacturing Engagement:
Successfully launch and maintain CM scorecard/dashboard focusing on supplier OTIF, Fill Rate, and Quality
Establish robust communication and performance process to ensure a 100% Fill Rate
Partner with CM Quality/Warranty Director to drive desired behavior from CMs through performance KPIs/metrics
Optimize inventory and improve work-off plans where possible based on demand volatility and SKU prioritization
Performance Metrics:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain and operations effectiveness; inventory, revenue, premium freight, etc.
Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership to enhance SLT decision making
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading supply chain and operations planning within the automotive industry or similar sectors.
Proven experience in leveraging data and analytics to drive decisions and improve operational performance
Strong knowledge of supply chain planning tools and methodologies, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of driving teamwork and collaboration across diverse functions
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Experience managing S&OP with contract manufacturers in addition to direct manufacturing operations
